THE BEST WAY TO GIVE HEMPRXFORTE ---
DOGS & CATS:
Recent research studies have shown that the best absorption of CBD is when it is given with food. Blood levels can increase as much as 5 times when administered with food, as compared to on an empty stomach. This is a change from what I have been recommending in the past, and it may help improve your pet's response to the HempRxForte.
I suggest putting the dosage on a small amount of food. Fatty food is the best, and not many dogs will reject canned cat food, so that is my suggestion. Give the dose on the small amount of food, and allow it to be ingested, and then you can feed your pet their morning or evening meal. This way, if they chose to not eat all of their morning or evening meal, they will still get their dose of CBD in food which will increase its blood levels substantially.
Give 1 drop for each 5 pounds of body weight of your pet twice daily as a starting amount.
For most animals this seems to work just fine, but for a few who are overweight, or whose conditions are pretty severe, a higher amount may be needed. Safety studies show that giving an amount even as high as 10 times more than suggested was pretty safe in a study of 30 dogs last year. There were some soft stools, and in about a third of the study dogs, and an elevation of one of the three liver enzymes, but that enzyme elevation was not deemed to be unsafe. It would be unusual that you would use such a high dose, and I don't recommend it, but that should give you some comfort to know that the lower doses have been shown to be quite safe for most animals.
Smaller amounts than this have been shown to help, and sometimes, your pet might need a higher dose. It generally takes about 7-14 days for the CBD to reach a steady state in your pet's system, so I suggest giving your pet some time (10-14 days) with the initial dose of the HempRxForte before deciding to increase it.
If your pet responds well to the initial dose, that is great, and after a month or so, you might actually be able to lower the dose and still get the same results.
There are 1800 drops in each 60 ml bottle
30 drops = 1 milliliter = 30 mg of CBD = 1 mg per drop
